Stone Cellar Brew Pub

Father and son partners Tom and Steve Lonsway opened Stone Cellar Brewpub and Restaurant in 2004, offering the Fox Valley hand-crafted FRESH AND NATURAL beer and tasty cuisine.  It is not only a restaurant, pub, and beer garden, but also a brewery. Stone Cellar brews their own set of beers and gourmet sodas.  It has a private dining and party room available for banquets, private dinners, and other events. Stone Cellar is located in the 150-year-old “Between the Locks” building.

Downtown Appleton

A Unique Sense of Place

Four main attributes help define a GREAT place, according to Project for Public Spaces:

  • Easily accessible

  • Provides recreational &
    social activities

  • Creates a comfortable,
    positive image

  • Sociable place where people like to gather

In addition to being accessible, successful placemaking connects people with each other. A major emphasis of this development project is to create walkable and transit links to neighboring destinations, including Downtown Appleton. Several public input sessions will be held to gather feedback about what types of new places would enhance the area.
